After much deliberation and many rumours, censor boards have green-light the horror-comedy Lafangey<\/em> for release and the cast has announced that the film will screen in cinemas across Pakistan on Eid ul Azha.<\/p>\n Earlier, rumours were circulating that the film has been banned due to its \u201cobjectionable content, vulgar and double meaning language.\u201d However, it was clarified later that the one of the censor boards has a few reservations on some dialogues. Later, the film was sent for a Full Board review.<\/p>\n Tehmina Khaled from Take II PR, has now confirmed that the film has been passed by the censor boards.<\/p>\n “This is to inform you all that film Lafangey<\/em> has received a clearance after full board review at Islamabad Censor Board. We will be releasing Lafangey<\/em> on Eid Insha Allah! Thank you for all the concern and support,” the statement said.<\/p>\n This is perhaps the first time that a film has received clearance after objections were raised on its content. The recent past is an example that Pakistani films, including Zindagi Tamasha, Javed Iqbal, Durj and I’ll Meet You There <\/em>that were once banned, never got to see light of the day.<\/p>\n Mani also felt ecstatic and posted a picture of all three Pakistani film posters displayed over a theater.<\/p>\n\n
