{"id":24450,"date":"2022-05-13T13:04:10","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T13:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/pakistans-first-hand-drawn-feature-picked-by-french-festival\/"},"modified":"2022-05-13T13:04:10","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T13:04:10","slug":"pakistans-first-hand-drawn-feature-picked-by-french-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/?p=24450","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan&#8217;s first hand-drawn feature picked by French festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mano Animation Studio&#8217;s <em>The Glassworker <\/em>has been selected for this year&#8217;s Annecy Festival in the &#8216;Work in Progress&#8217; category.<\/p>\n<p>Mano Animation Studio is a homegrown facility spearheaded by Usman Riaz with some of the best artists and animators in the country. <em>The Glassworker <\/em>has been in the works for some years now and will be Pakistan&#8217;s first hand-drawn feature film.<\/p>\n<p><em><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited alignnone wp-image-81855\" src=\"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/images\/2022\/05\/ANNECY-LAUREL-WREATH-Film-Still-official-release-300x141.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"523\" height=\"246\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Glassworker <\/em>tells the story of a young man who works in his father&#8217;s glass workshop. Their lives are upended by the threat of an impending war, especially since the protagonist falls in love with an army colonel&#8217;s daughter. Every frame in the film has been meticulously drawn by Riaz and his team in a style that pays homage to Japan&#8217;s Studio Ghibli.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" data-trx-lazyload-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/731Zlqz4smw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Annecy Festival is held in France every year and showcases animated work from across the world.
