Mansha Pasha is not happy with how female celebrities are judged based on their outfits<\/a><\/p>\nIt has become a common practice for trolls to judge female celebrities based on their red carpet looks. The same happened following the Lux Style Awards 2021 that took place in Karachi on Saturday and many celebs shared her displeasure.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery award show ends with a slew of sermonizing comments under the photos of all female celebrities making character judgments about how good or bad she is based on her outfit,\u201d Mansha Pasha tweeted.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, this is the real superficiality. Judging a person\u2019s inner nature based on an outfit choice,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Mira Sethi is another actor who shared her views regarding the matter. Taking to Instagram, Mira, who wore an all-black Hussain Rehar outfit for the show, penned a post.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s always fascinating to see trolls go nuts under photos of public-facing women in dresses or costumes or anything the trolls deem ‘vulgar’.\u201d<\/p>\n
“Go home. I don\u2019t dress for you,” she added. “I don\u2019t dress for anyone or anything other than my own sense of joy and play and expansion. The men of this country are obsessed with policing women, constantly defining their \u2018honour\u2019 in relation to women\u2019s bodies and clothing and appearance. It is a small minded, decayed, hateful thing to do. You want to disempower us because a deep part of you is hurting and angry. I get it. It\u2019s societal and it is ugly.”<\/p>\n
