Musician Azaan Sami Khan is about make an acting debut on television in Ishq e Laa<\/em> that will air on HUM TV. He will be seen with powerhouse performers like Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi, which in itself, is a rare but overwhelming combo of talent. There is a lot of conversation about him recently since he has impressed viewers in the teasers and OST, especially due to his electric chemistry with Sajal on screen.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive conversation with Something Haute<\/em>, Azaan shared how feels about getting this once-in-a-lifetime kind of opportunity in his debut role.<\/p>\n

“It was nothing short of a massive honour to work with two incredible artists [Sajal and Yumna]. The love that people hold for them aside, they are just skillful and incredible artists, and every moment with them on set was a learning experience for me that I will, for sure, cherish for the rest of my career,” he said.<\/p>\n

Azaan already considers the drama a success because he has worked with some of the best people in the industry.<\/p>\n

“For me particularly, Ishq e Laa<\/em> is already a tremendous success because of what all that I have learnt through it, whether it’s Sajal, Yumna or Amin sir. I have had a very long association with Momina [Duraid] bhabi. She has been a mentor and guide for me like a godmother,” he shared.<\/p>\n

“It’s just a tremendous learning curve for me as an actor. I was just very concerned about doing this transition from music and coming in front of the camera. I wanted to do something where I could flex the acting muscle more and be able to do something with a serious subject matter so that people could see that side [of me]. It’s not like that I don’t love commercial cinema or commercial story-telling, I do. However, I wanted the first thing I do to be something that allows me to explore myself a little and Ishq e Laa<\/em> is the perfect opportunity to do that,” he added.<\/p>\n

Indeed, he hit the jackpot and he is well aware.<\/p>\n

“I am very grateful to get this opportunity, it feels tremendous working with these guys and I’m very fortunate,” he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
