{"id":23407,"date":"2021-07-26T10:33:25","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T10:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/soc-films-releases-animated-film-self-defence\/"},"modified":"2021-07-26T10:33:25","modified_gmt":"2021-07-26T10:33:25","slug":"soc-films-releases-animated-film-self-defence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/?p=23407","title":{"rendered":"SOC Films releases animated film &#8216;Self-Defence&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOC Films recently released the third animated film <em>Self-Defence<\/em> from the \u201c<em>Siyani Sahelian<\/em>\u201d animation series, as part of the collaborative program with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi.<\/p>\n<p><em>Self-Defence<\/em> illustrates the rising threat of harassment, kidnapping, and sexual violence in Pakistan, and the predicament it puts women in. This animated film navigates the urgent precautions and tools necessary to impede this threat. Focusing on empowerment rather than fear, the main character Asghari, along with friends and an elderly woman of her community, discuss these challenges faced by women in Pakistan and ways on how to address them.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited aligncenter size-large wp-image-76060\" src=\"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/images\/2021\/07\/Self-Defence-Siyani-Saheliyan-F-1-1024x574.jpg\" alt=\"SOC Films\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The third animated film is written by Safyah Usmani and the animation is by Kulsum Ibrahim, sound by Sameer Khan, editing by Nina Zehri and Meer Farhad Jamali, and voiceovers by Rabia Kiran Rajput, Mariam Rizvi Rubina, Safyah Usmani, Sara Gill and Zarghoona.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited aligncenter size-large wp-image-76061\" src=\"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/images\/2021\/07\/Self-Defence-Siyani-Saheliyan-F-2-1024x574.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Read: <a title=\"SOC Films releases animated film \u2018Corona and Mental Health\u2019\" href=\"https:\/\/test.somethinghaute.com\/soc-films-releases-animated-film-corona-and-mental-health\/\">SOC Films releases animated film \u2018Corona and Mental Health\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Launched in March 2018, <em>Siyani Sahelian<\/em> is a program which aims to tackle gender inequality for disadvantaged out of school adolescent girls (aged 9 to 19) in 60 towns and villages spread across the three districts of South Punjab: Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan. To-date, the program has empowered 36,000+ out of school adolescent girls in South Punjab through post primary opportunities for learning gains, TVET [Technical and Vocational Education and Training], livelihoods and life skills.
